The Church of San Michele

85 Via Romana, Tarvisio

posizione/location

Opened in 1940, the church was built by the Milizia Ferroviaria (the Railway Police of the time) and the many citizens of the neighbourhood that had developed around the Central train station in Tarvisio.

It is a simple, red-brick Church.

Inside there is a huge mosaic depicting Saint Michael (based on an artwork by Guido Reni) as well as two mosaics from the time of fascism.
