Church of San Leonardo

A stone plaque on the outside of the apse tells us that the building was constructed in 1463 in gothic style.

Like many of the churches in Val Canale the original furnishings have been replaced over the centuries by others, generally in the Baroque or Baroque-inspired style.

The Church in Fusine is no exception, and the interior is dominated by an altar richly decorated with volutes and gilding.

This decoration is neither redundant nor excessive, and it gives the Church a remarkably elegant air.
