Cave del Predil

The lake is situated 959 m above sea level, is 1.5 km long, 500 m wide and about 30 m deep.

It is the second largest natural lake in Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

The lake is located in the Valley of Rio del Lago, and is bordered on the South by the mount Cima del Lago (Jerebica) (2,125 m) and to the North-East by the mount Cinque Punte (1,909 m).

The lake was probably formed by glacial action due to morainal damming and frequent landslides along the river.

Thanks to the beauty of its waters and its surroundings, it is an area of great interest for tourists and naturalists and it is very popular for windsurfers.

It has two well-equipped beaches for families.
