Located a 800 meters above sea level, this is a characterful mountain course with wide natural fairways on the high plains.

Designed by Giacomo Cabrini in 1992 and expanded in 2003 to 18 holes by the Canadian architect Graham Cooke who also undertook the restyling, the course has two distinct sides to its character.

The first 9 holes are set along challenging uphill and downhill sections among the beautiful forests of Tarvisio, while the second 9 are mostly on flat land with some stretches of water.

The large greens are sometimes hidden among pine and beech trees and often protected by bunkers or by very steep valleys that make the approach to the greens a challenge even for the most experienced player.

The Tarvisio Golf Club is an 18- hole course full of interesting technical challenges and set in a wonderful natural context. It is surrounded by the splendid landscape and the imposing rocky peaks of the Julian Alps, with a particularly impressive view of Mount Mangart (2677 m).

In winter, golf gives way to cross-country skiing, and the entire area is known as “Gabriella Paruzzi Arena” in honour of the Olympic Champion from Fusine who won the gold medal in 2002 (30 km classical technique) at the 19th Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City and in 2004 the Cross Country Skiing World Cup.
